Set in the township of Minadys Island Chief of Police Cameron Dane (Christopher Kirby) is a former Los Angeles police officer now living on a small quaint island. After giving up the LAPD to move his family to Australia, Dane thought he was doing the best thing to save his marriage. But after finding out his wife was having an affair, Dane moved his family off the mainland to join the small population of Minadys Island and rejoined the police.  Now he is investigating a crime the island has never before encountered. After discovering a local murdered and dismembered the only clue he could find was a shark like tooth. So Dane contacts Mainland Marine Biologist Hayden Brooks (Lisa Campos) to assist in finding the creature involved. When Brooks and her associate Andrew Richards arrive on the island, Brooks must relive an incident in her past and must face the reality that a creature her father, a former biologist,  had claimed to have discovered fifteen years earlier, may in fact exist.  As darkness falls the unknown creature has formed in masses and starts feasting on the island towns folk.
